Nomad

Website Design | Nomad

Nomad launched in 2012 and over the years has expanded into many new product categories. As we continue to expand into new product categories and into new customer demographics, we needed to shift our branding and website to reflect that.

We care so much about design & materials, and we put so much effort into all of the fine details of our products that we wanted to make sure that we were able to convey that on our largest platform; our website. So we had two main goals we wanted to achieve with redesigning our website. Be bigger and bolder with our detailed imagery and copy. Become brighter so that our imagery stands out from the background and speaks for itself.

Everyday Aliens

Generative NFT Project

Everyday Aliens is an NFT project I started as a way to learn more about the Web3 and NFT space and better understand how a randomly generated PFP project was created.

It was a great learning experience; learning everything from drawing the alien artwork and how each individual trait needs to work with every other trait by layering them on top of each other, learning how to form a storyline for the project and how that trickles down to all aspects of the brand, as well as learning the process of randomly generating artwork with custom rules and getting that final metadata onto a decentralized storage platform and launching a contract on the main net.

Base One Max

Product Design | Nomad

The goal with designing Base One Max was to create the highest-end charging experience for iPhone & Apple Watch users for their home or office.

When coming up with the idea for Base One Max, we wanted to use premium materials and a subdued design that would fit perfectly in any home or office setup. Starting with a solid metal body, this allowed users to be able to take their phone off of the magnetic charger without the entire charger lifting off the table in the process. While we have used leather in our chargers before, this time around we wanted to use a new material that was vegan but just as premium. Glass was the obvious choice for it’s premium hand feel and aesthetic.

Sport Case

Product Design | Nomad

The goal with Sport Case was to create a minimal everyday case for iPhone users. Nomad has always been known for our high-end leather cases, and Sport Case was the first case we were launching in a whole new category.

We did not want to make a “cheap” case, we wanted to make a high-end case that felt solid in the hand and was thoughtfully designed with everyday use in mind. A high-gloss back plate grips extremely well to your hands while simultaneously allowing the case to be slid easily in & out of your pocket. The channels along the sides were designed for even more grip when holding your phone, the anodized metal buttons add an additional premium touch, while the microfiber interior keeps your phone scratch free.
